They couldn't even plagerize songs well...they still sounded awful. EVERYONE sang the soprano line badly. It was like listening to a cat fight! Ugh. That was pure torture. I think they ough to do away with waterboarding and other forms of torture and play JW toons nonstop to inmates!!!

I was up in Reading this past year for work when they had the convention....I went to pull into a car park near the courthouse and there was a man standing there with a big sign that said, NO JW PARKING. I chuckled.

Most rapes occur when no one else is present. That's what attackers do -- wait until their victims are alone. Your reasoning sounds very much like the JW way of thinking. Yes, in an ideal world, there would be people around to thwart off the attacker, or the victim just might have a carving knife handy to hack away the privates of the attacker, but in all seriousness, this is not the way most rapes happen.
I don't feel as if people should use abortions as a means of birth control; however, if one IS responsible and ends up getting pregnant, the option should be there if she chooses. Many people wouldn't, and that's okay too. I don't think that fast food places should sell triple cheeseburgers loaded with cheese and bacon and mayo, but that's just my opinion. I won't eat one, but I certainly wouldn't stand in the way of anyone that would.

This is a very personal decision and one that each person should make individually. There is no blanket answer for everyone. It is easy for some people to just say, it's wrong, full stop and go about their business. But the reality is, it's a huge responsibility and those naysayers are not the ones that will be raising the child. I get really tired sometimes of people trying to push their views on all of us with threats of retribution and destruction. I have had to make this very choice once and it was the hardest thing I ever had to do. However, like Q, I know I did the right thing for me at that point in my life. It would have been very selfish of me to continue on, as I knew I didn't have the wherewithal or the resources or even the desire to bring another human into this world. What's that song by Everlast where the say, God forbid you have to walk a mile in her shoes, cuz then you'd really know what it's like to have to choose.....

associated presswed nov 6, 2013 3:34 pmspring hill, fla. a florida school district has suspended a teacher after requiring a fourth grade jehovahs witness to participate in the pledge of allegiance.. the tampa tribune (http://bit.ly/1arwmom) reports that the hernando county school board recently concluded an investigation.. the student, who is jehovahs witness and prohibited by the religion from worshiping objects, refused on religious grounds, the investigation found.. officials said teacher anne daigle-mcdonald twice placed the students hand over his heart when the class recited the pledge.. the student told mcdonald during the incident that jehovahs witnesses do not worship objects, and that he stood during the pledge of allegiance out of respect for the country, but was not permitted by his religion to place his hand over his heart, according to the investigation.. after the student informed mcdonald of this, mcdonald went to the front of the class and said, if you dont want to say the pledge, you still have to put your hand on your heart and if you dont want to do that, you should move out of the country, according to the report.. the report also shows mcdonald said something about there not being a religion that prohibits doing the pledge, according to the investigation.. the district says that mcdonald violated a host of state education rules, professional conduct principles and the students right to free speech and freedom of religion.
several other students in the class corroborated the allegations, according to the investigation.. mcdonald was removed from student contact, and placed on alternative assignment on sept. 12.. while speaking to administrators at the school on that date, mcdonald said she thought the religion applied only to holidays, but said she did not attempt to contact the students parents for clarification, according to the report.. the investigation showed that she also said she didnt think it was good practice to regularly place hands on students, and that she feels strongly as a citizen of the united states that one should show respect to the flag.. superintendent lori romano ordered mcdonald be suspended five days without pay, reported the incident to florida department of education and ordered mcdonald provide proof of completion of diversity training..

It's because we live in a country with freedoms that we can all practice whatever religion we want to. The teacher was out of line, clearly, but I feel bad for the child. I remember being picked on all of the time because of this as a child.

what we studied at the the congregation "bible" study this week.
by nowwhat? inat the congregation bible study this week, we as jehovahs witnesses studied a brochure on how we study the bible at the congregation bible study.
no wonder half of us are screwed up..
